The ENIAC is kind of computer. Actually it is also an electronic integrator or we can say it’s an numerical integrator along with computer. Two of the American physicists built the ENIAC in the early nineties during the Second World War and this computer proved to be the first computer that was programmable and fully electronic and digital. All the work on this computer was held under the supervision of the American army.

Impact of ENIAC on the world
ENIAC was less than a global computer’s dream. Conceived primarily for artillery range table calculation values it lacked some capabilities which made it a more user-friendly system. The plug boards used to communicate machine instructions; it had the benefit that the machine functioned at electronics speed once the instructions were “coded” in the computer. As the ENIAC was totally electronic but the input was applied by the means of mechanical cards and other means so, this is what made this computer slower even if it was electronic.
General Features of ENIAC
ENIAC can conduct both arithmetic and the transfers operations simultaneously. ENIAC takes more time to build up the solution for a new issue through programming. The dividers commands and the square root commands are subtracted and added repeatedly. ENIAC became the base of the computer industry for the majority of other computers. Including the input card reader, the punch card for the output and more than thousand relays are the mechanical features of the ENIAC which are outside the computer.
Benefits of ENIAC
ENIAC had many advantages at that time. It was not very much technical to operate. It was used to save large amount of data and information. It was also used for the color coding and for the readings of the programs. One of its advantages was that in the early nineties when it was introduced to the world it was quite easily available in the market and it was the most reliable and fastest computer of that time. The main purpose of a machine is to reduce human effort and at that time in the early nineties these computer did so and that is why they are remembered as the base of the computer industry.
Some Disadvantages of ENIAC
Along with these advantages and uses the ENIAC also contained some disadvantages. It was quite large in size so it consumed a lot of electrical energy and it was difficult to transfer it from one place to another. ENIAC’sanother disadvantage was that due to huge amount of power consumption and its mega size it produces lots of heat and to reduce that heat cooling fans were used in their manufacturing and this advancement of fans also increased the prices of these computers.
